Every week, Keeping the Blues Alive makes a donation to a school in need of music education resources, choosing a different school every week from across the country. Over the past eight years, we have donated over $600,000 in educational programming, enriching the lives of over 68,750 students and teachers across the country!
Alongside our weekly donations, we also fund merit-based scholarships and can proudly say that we have supported students at some of the finest music programs in the country including The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute, Broward College and more!
Throughout the year, we choose grants that support music education projects and services such as the Stevie Ray Vaughan Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Heartsong Fund! Our latest grant is contributed to the program called Music is Your Ali. This is a weekly music lesson program hosted within the newly redeveloped Historic Ali Cultural Arts facility in Pompano Beach, FL. Students receive free, one-on-one music instruction by some of the most active, qualified musicians in the area!
