By now, if you are reading this and have yet to hear about the Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea Blues Cruise, we are doing something wrong. Joe’s aquatic blues show is one of the premiere music cruises that is highly anticipated each year and brings some of the best blues musicians on the scene. The 2018 cruise just came to a close, but the new lineup is already being compiled. Among the list of distinguished musicians is the ultimate bluesman, Walter Trout.

At 67 years old, Trout has been around the blues block more than once and has been a part of some of the biggest blues-rock acts around, including Canned Heat and John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. For years, Trout had a fierce battle with liver cancer that appeared would take his life.

However, Walter proved to be tougher than his disease and now is living well. In fact, in 2016, after coming back on the scene, he won two blues music awards, including his 2015 album Battle Scars about his struggles with cancer.
Trout continues to tour and record and put out an incredible album in 2017 which consists of collaborations with some of the heaviest bluesmen on the scene today, including Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, and others.

Welcoming Walter Trout aboard the blues cruise in 2019 is a huge honor for Joe as he considers Trout to be not only a huge influence on his playing but also an inspiration to blues players everywhere.

Make sure to pre-order your tickets for the blues-event of every years, you won’t want to miss this one.
