Traveling Wilburys – Blues Highlights
This is one hell a supergroup! Below is a fantastic video that tells the process of how this group came together. Furthermore, the project is a labor of love where the artists obviously have a mutual respect for one another.
‘The True History of The Traveling Wilburys’ is a labor of love. That highlights a musical collaboration in the spring of 1988 whilst the band were recording ‘Vol. 1’ in Los Angeles, and includes footage shot by Nelson Wilbury.
When trying to explain how the Wilburys originally came together. George Harrison says, “Furthermore, the thing about the Wilburys for me, is if we try to plan it, or if anybody had said, let’s form this band and get these people in it—it will never happen, it’s impossible.
Surprisingly, it happens completely, just by magic, just by circumstance. Meanwhile, there is a full moon that night or something like that. Furthermore, we get a band that has some of the greatest musicians ever, just playing around with each other. Along with “their respective talents” between them it’s a hit out of the box! So, enjoy!
