Robben Ford – A Day In Nashville Tour 2014
Robben Ford. Performing live at Phenomenon Music Club in Fontaneto d’Agogna Novara Italy. Furthermore, this performance is part of his “A Day In Nashville Tour” in 2014. Of course, this is just one of his tour stops he treats all these performances like it’s the first time. Wowing the audiences along the way.
Furthermore, he records “A Day In Nashville” live in a single session. Not something he usually does but for this album it works! Robben chose to record the album in a controlled environment while treating it like a live performance. The album features mostly new original songs by Ford along with ‘Cut You Loose’ by harmonica great James Cotton and ‘Poor Kelly Blues’ by Maceo Merriweather. Check out the behind the scenes with this trailer:
While being such a premier guitarist, he can play any genre but is mostly known for his Blues playing. A five-time Grammy nominee, He teaches himself guitar at age thirteen upon hearing the two guitarists from The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Michael Bloomfield, and Elvin Bishop. In the late 1960’s, Ford frequented the Fillmore and Winterland auditoriums in San Francisco to see Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Albert King, B.B. King and all of the progenitors of blues. We’re glad he switches from the saxophone at age ten to the guitar at age thirteen! Either way, anything he plays on whatever instrument he chooses; he will be brilliant at it! He’s that good and all us guitar geeks and music nerds appreciate his dedication to his craft!
Since there is no video’s that I could find from Italy, we’re just going to play one with JB & Robben Ford jamming out in Paris. Robben arrives about 4 minutes into the video.
