This one will get you rockin! The NAMM show is the “world’s largest trade-only event for the music products industry.” It is held in California every year and showcases new guitar, bass, pro-audio, and other gear from various manufacturers. Companies set up booths to demo their newest products and promote the artists that use their gear. Dunlop, who sells picks, strings, and other guitar/bass accessories always boasts an impressive line-up of musicians showcasing their products. This past January, the current leading lefty blues guitarist, Eric Gales had a killer jam session with the “picking bassist” Cody Wright. They crank out a blazing duo version of “Pickin N’ Grinnin’” from Gale’s 2013 album “Ghost Notes,” that proves drummers can be optional. Gales brings a fresh take on the blues to the scene and shows that lefties can have just as much fun.
