We have an exciting new musician announcement for Joe Bonamassa’s 2019 Keeping the Blues Alive Cruise! The left-handed blues-rock shred master Eric Gales is returning for his third cruise, cause he just can’t get enough.

Eric Gales has been hot on the music since signing with Elektra Records in 1990. But, he has actually been into music since he was very young, learning from and playing with his older brothers who showed him Jimi Hendrix and B.B. King licks. From there he was hooked and kept pushing forward to follow his music dreams.
Eric Gale’s style is rather ear-catching in the current blues world. Gales plays with a very gritty and fuzz-forward tone harking back to a Hendrixesque sound when he used fuzz inducing guitar effect pedals. Gales also stands out in another different way from his blues cohorts; he has worked extensively with rap and hip-hop groups, including vocal work on albums by Prophet Posse and Three Six Mafia. Having a background in various styles drastically unrelated to blues or even blues allows Eric Gales’ to approach the guitar from a different perspective and add elements no one else may think of.

Gales has one of the most daring sounds on the scene right now and demonstrates his technical prowess every time he picks up the guitar. In 2017, Gales released his 18th studio album with Middle of the Road which was his first album to reach the Billboard top Album Chart.

Next year, Eric Gales will join the other standout blues guitarists, Walter Trout, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and many others on the 5th annual blues cruise to Grand Cayman. If you have very come aboard, you know it is a nonstop blast! Don’t miss your chance to see some of the best musicians in the blues as well as many up and coming great artists!
