Dr. John performs “Such a Night” ft. Eric Clapton on Jools’ Annual Hootenanny 1995. First, thanks to the BBC and Jools for capturing this awesome performance live! Furthermore, any music that the Dr is playing, is the best elixir you can have to get through the day. Here he’s performing live with Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, and the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

Jool’s 3rd Annual Hootenanny

Jools Holland’s 3rd New Year’s Eve Hootenanny, features performances from Dr. John, Eric Clapton, David McAlmont, Mike Flowers Pops. As well as Dick Dale, Supergrass, Audioweb and Alanis Morissette. In addition to this being a grand affair to witness live, this recording is done on December 13th, 1995 to filmed on this date for broadcast on the BBC on New Year’s Eve. Jools Holland

Besides being an original member of the band “Squeeze”, he’s also a pianist, bandleader, singer, and composer. Playing with the likes of Sting, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Davis Gilmour, Joe Bonamassa, just to name a few. Holland was an interviewer for The Beatles Anthology TV project in 1977. And in 2003, he received an OBE for services in the British Music industry as a television presenter and musician. But to many he’s known as the host for Later… with Jools Holland, a music-based show that airs on BBC2.
