KTBA Funds Music Technology Lab
TITUSVILLE, FL – Thanks to your donations, Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation purchased new recording equipment for students at Astronaut High School.
“We are a group of excited and driven music students, looking to expand our musical horizons through the use of music technology,” Astronaut High School’s music teacher, Mr. Jackson explains. “We are starting a music technology class at our school, and don’t yet have the right equipment to ensure we can learn at the highest level.”
“Music in the 21st century has changed, and I want my students to know how to create music in our present world. We are fundraising to purchase several two-channel recording interfaces, along with microphones and cables, to help our students learn how to edit and manipulate recorded sound into new musical creations. We are also asking for a few keyboard controllers to help students in their compositions.”
This is phase one of our project to outfit our new music technology lab.
The purchase of this equipment will allow us to leverage our existing funds to purchase software and other more advanced hardware to help prepare our students to go on to use their skills in music composition, audio engineering, and music careers in the 21st century.”
Thanks to the donations of Joe Bonamassa fans and music lovers like YOU, KTBA funded new MIDI controllers, cables and software for students in the new program!
Mr. Jackson expresses his gratitude:
