Communique Tour

The Communique Tour is a 1979 concert tour of Europe and North American by the British rock band Dire Straits, supporting their second album, Communique, which releases in June 1979. The tour started on 11 February 1979 in Rotterdam and consists of 116 concerts in Europe and North America, ending on 21 December 1979 in London.

When the tour announcement goes public, in the United States, 51 concerts sell out during all 38 days. All of the concerts in Europe are sell out as well. Also, the tour lineup includes Mark Knopfler, David Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers. In the Rockpalast show in Cologne, Germany on February 16, 1979, the show is filmed and broadcasted on TV channel WDR. As well as 

The tour consisted of seven Preview concerts in February in Europe, and then four legs. For those who saw it live, you were one of the lucky ones!
