Blackberry Smoke – Video of The Week

Blackberry Smoke is this week’s video of the week. Which also features members of Allman Betts Band. Coming together to perform “Jesus Left Chicago” as a tribute to Dusty Hill from ZZ Top. This live performance is from their 2021 Spirit Of The South Tour.  In this tribute, Charlie Starr plays the actual 1950 Fender Broadcaster that Billy Gibbons used to record the song. These two bands  fit together perfectly and make up one big rock and roll orchestra. Enjoy!

American rock band Blackberry Smoke is made up of Charlie Starr (vocals, guitar), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals), Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums) and Brandon Still (keyboards). Since their debut in 2004, the Atlanta-based band independently releases six full-length albums and is constantly touring relentlessly, building a strong and loyal community of fans.

Most recently, in 2019 Blackberry Smoke releases Homecoming: Live in Atlanta, a recorded performance from their annual show in the band’s hometown. It also debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk sales charts. This became the 4th consecutive album for Blackberry Smoke to be atop the charts.
